Privacy Policy
Best Value LLC ("Best Value," "we," "us," or "our") provides the DIYFixThis mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information DIYFixThis collects, how we use and disclose it, and the choices available to you.
Information We Collect
- Account information: A Firebase account identifier and, if you choose email or Sign in with Apple, your email address and related authentication information. You may also use a guest account.
- Repair content: Photos you select, repair details you enter, AI-generated repair plans, saved repair history, and feedback you submit.
- Credits and transactions: Repair-credit balances, rewarded-ad activity, App Store product and transaction identifiers, and purchase-verification information. Apple processes your payment information; we do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Usage and technical information: App activity, feature usage, repair-result categories, feedback metrics, timestamps, error information, IP address, device or app information, and pseudonymous identifiers. Some analytics are stored as aggregated counts.
- Communications: Information you provide when you contact support.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Authenticate accounts and preserve repair history and credit balances;
- Upload and analyze repair photos and generate repair guidance;
- Save repair plans and optional photo previews;
- Provide rewarded ads and verify in-app purchases;
- Prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate rewards, and unauthorized access;
- Understand app performance and improve the service; and
- Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
Repair Photos and AI Processing
Your selected repair photo and any extra details are uploaded through Google Firebase and processed using OpenAI services to generate repair guidance. The original uploaded photo is deleted from our Firebase storage after analysis. If you choose to save a small preview, that preview remains with the saved repair until you delete the repair or request deletion of your account data.
Please do not include faces, documents, addresses, account numbers, or other sensitive personal information in repair photos or descriptions.
Service Providers and Disclosures
We disclose information to service providers only as needed to operate DIYFixThis, including:
- Google Firebase for authentication, database services, cloud functions, file storage, and infrastructure;
- OpenAI for analysis of repair photos and details;
- Google AdMob for rewarded advertising and reward verification; and
- Apple for Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, and related platform services.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, in connection with a merger or sale of the business, or with your direction or consent.
Advertising
DIYFixThis offers optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may process device information, IP address, advertising identifiers when available, and ad-interaction information to deliver, measure, secure, and limit ads. Your choices may depend on your device settings, region, and any consent options presented by Google or Apple.
In-App Purchases
Repair-credit purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive transaction information needed to verify the purchase and add credits to the DIYFixThis account signed in at the time of purchase. Purchased credits are associated with that DIYFixThis account.
Data Retention
We retain account records, saved repairs, optional previews, credit balances, purchase and reward-verification records, feedback, and security records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, prevent fraud, comply with law, and resolve disputes. Aggregated or de-identified statistics may be retained longer. Original repair-photo uploads are deleted after analysis as described above.
Your Choices and Data Requests
You can delete individual saved repairs in the app. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated personal information by emailing diyfixthisapp@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some records may be retained when required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or transaction-integrity purposes.
You may control certain Apple privacy and advertising settings through your device settings. You can choose not to watch rewarded ads, not to make purchases, and not to save optional photo previews.
Sale of Personal Information
Best Value LLC does not sell personal information for money. Advertising providers may process or disclose information as described in the Advertising section. Where applicable law provides advertising-related opt-out rights, you may contact us at the address below.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
DIYFixThis is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
International Processing
Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from the laws where you live.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as DIYFixThis changes. We will post the updated policy with a revised effective date. Your continued use of DIYFixThis after an update means the updated policy applies to your use of the service.
